Use an ATS resume before you start applying, not after rejection. It’s a precondition, not a correction. If your resume hasn’t been rebuilt in the last 12–18 months, it’s already outdated for today’s systems.

Use an ATS resume wherever applications are collected through systems—not people. This includes company career pages, job boards, enterprise HR portals, recruitment agencies, and global hiring platforms. If you upload a document instead of emailing a PDF directly to a human, assume ATS is in play. Large organizations, MNCs, government roles, hospitals, universities, and global recruiters all operate this way.
Q4. Is a Canva resume ATS-friendly?
Short answer: mostly NO. Canva resumes are designed for visual appeal, not machine readability. Most templates rely on text boxes, columns, icons, and layered elements that ATS software struggles to parse accurately. The resume may look great to you, but the system may read it out of order—or not read key information at all.

During iterations with writer, you will receive only a word version for you to enable easy editing. Once you approve your resume, you will receive PDF version of the resume.
